Our Story

It all began in 1973, when Lewisville had 13,000
population and one stop light. When Bill Barber opened a Arts & Crafts store in
Lakeland plaza. Then in 1974 opened J. B. Paint & Frame in Old Orchard Shopping
Center. We expanded there from 1,600 feet to over 4,000 feet carrying home
decor, wallpaper, paint, artist supplies and custom framing.
And after a successful 10 years starting building a
shopping center called Settlers Mall (now the Atrium) timing wasn't great
because Texas went into a major recession, banks closed almost all savings and
loans closed and people went to jail. So we sold the center and moved into
Garden Park. At the time Albertson's was there. We built the business back up to
surpass the sales it was doing prior to the recession.
After we spent some time there Tom Thumb added a
strip to the side of their new building across the street and called us to join
them, since we were the first to join them in Old Orchard Center back in 1974.
So we did and stayed there for 10 years.
Now we have built a state of the art Custom Frame Shop
and Art Gallery at 1681 Justin Road (407) in Flower Mound, Directly in
front of Cloud 9 salon and across the street from Majestic fine wine and
spirits.

We now are enjoying our third straight year of
increased sales of Custom Framing and Framed Art from our gallery. And we are
told by the sales reps that our gallery/frame shop is the best around the state.
We have built our business on Customer Service and
quality work, not to mention a selection of 5,000 frame samples and thousands of
mat choices.
All work in done in-house, never sent to another
location. We cut the frames here, and anything else anything else it takes to
complete the job.
We have custom framed over 600,000 art subjects since we started. |
